WAKEFIELD, R.I.— (August 31, 2016) – ChartWise Medical Systems, Inc. (, the award-winning industry leader in Computer-Assisted Clinical Documentation Improvement (CACDI) software, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Emberson to the position of vice president of sales and marketing.

In this role, Emberson will work to uncover new opportunities to further escalate ChartWise’s rapid growth. He will interface directly with prospective customers and work to find new ways to reach and meet the needs of these potential ChartWise 2.0 software users. Emberson will be responsible for positioning the organization’s flagship ChartWise 2.0 product and conveying key differentiators between ChartWise and competitors in the CACDI space.

Emberson joins ChartWise from HealthStream,a provider of workforce, patient experience, and talent solutions for the healthcare industry, where he led national sales teams focused on new business acquisition as senior sales director for over four years. During this time, he launched and developed a new sales unit and successfully turned around previously underperforming solutions. Prior to his time at HealthStream, Emberson served as director of business development for two years at National Research Corporation, a healthcare performance measurement and market research company. In this position, he led divisional sales—achieving record sales growth and increasing prospect engagement.
