WAKEFIELD, R.I.– (May 26, 2015) – ChartWise Medical Systems, Inc. (www.chartwisemed.com), the industry leader in Computer-Assisted Clinical Documentation Improvement (CACDI) software, is pleased to announce the hiring of Kathy Luther as clinical product manager. Kathy will be charged with the task of overseeing the ChartWise 2.0 product and will serve as a driving force behind maintaining the innovative spirit at the core of ChartWise’s software.
The ChartWise 2.0 software solution is the most advanced CACDI product on the market and will evolve rapidly in the next few years. Luther’s appointment provides ChartWise with the necessary flexibility to navigate the complexities of the current healthcare environment and meet the challenges of coders, physicians and health information management professionals at the hospitals and medical centers they serve.
“Luther’s appointment is a significant coup and will help position ChartWise extremely well for future growth and success,” said Mary Cooper, executive vice president at ChartWise. “Her 25 years of experience in the field of healthcare technology and countless hours spent working side by side with C-suite executives and hospital administrators on their CACDI solutions has given her a unique perspective on effective documentation strategy and technologies. We’re excited to empower Luther to help further ChartWise’s reputation as a pioneer on the forefront of clinical documentation software technology.”
Luther has spent the past 15 years of her professional career working with clinical documentation programs and most recently served as director of CDI for Accretive Health. She has implemented CDI programs across multiple hospital systems, teaching facilities and trauma centers. Luther learned—and became an expert in the field of—CDI in the state of Maryland, the epicenter of the national move toward APR-DRGs (All Patient Refined Diagnosis-Related Groups).
“Healthcare technology is advancing at an incredibly fast clip and ChartWise has managed to stay ahead of the curve at every turn,” said Luther. “I’m honored to work with Dr. Jon Elion, Mary Cooper, and the rest of the ChartWise team to provide the best tools and support in the space to the hospitals and medical centers we work with. I’m already working shoulder to shoulder with engineers, administrators and coders to maximize the utility of the clinical portion of the ChartWise 2.0 product and I couldn’t be more excited about the way ChartWise is revolutionizing CACDI.”
